Fruit de la signature d’un partenariat entre l’institution Onusienne et Okoume Capital.

TECHNIQUE ET FINANCIER DE 10 START-UPS

Libreville, le 2 février 2023 – Le Programme des Nations Unies pour de Développement (PNUD) et Okoumé Capital s’associent pour soutenir le développement des PMEs locales à travers la signature d’un partenariat technique et financier visant à contribuer à la mise en place d’un écosystème favorable à l’investissement privé dans l’économie verte et l’innovation.

Ce partenariat intervient dans la lignée du Plan d’Accélération de la Transformation (PAT) adopté par le gouvernement visant à faire émerger de nouveaux moteurs de croissance. Soutenue par le Ministère du Commerce, des Petites et Moyennes entreprises, chargé de l’entrepreneuriat national et de l’économie sociale et le Ministère de la Jeunesse et des Sports, l’initiative a pour but d’accompagner les projets innovants de start-ups gabonaises ayant un impact positif dans leur zone géographique et répondant aux Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD) des Nations Unies.

C’est dans cette optique que le PNUD, à travers son programme YouthConnekt Gabon, a choisi de se tourner vers des acteurs présents dans le secteur ayant pour mission d’accompagner les PMEs pour lancer la Cohorte pilote : « Entrepreneurs d’Impact ». La finalité du programme co-construit avec Okoumé Capital et la Société d’Incubation Numérique du Gabon (SING) concourt à soutenir la création d’un plus grand nombre d’entreprises à fort impact et à la promotion de l’économie locale. Il sera notamment question de booster l’inclusion des Start-Ups dans l’écosystème local d’institutions financières, de fintech, de réseaux d’entreprises et de business Angels.

Depuis le 30 Janvier 2023, les lauréats ont entamé un programme intensif de 90 (quatrevingt-dix) jours. Ils bénéficient d’ateliers dédiés au suivi budgétaire et financier, à la gestion des comptes, aux stratégies de levée de fonds, au suivi des encaissements et des décaissements organisés par Okoumé Capital. Des sessions de coaching, de conduite de changement, d’éco-responsabilité pilotés par la SING leur sont également réservées.

Au départ de ce projet, 30 (trente) Start-ups présélectionnées ont présenté leurs activités devant un jury composé de représentants du PNUD, d’Okoumé Capital et de la SING. À l’issue des examens des dossiers, 10 (dix) entreprises ont été retenues selon :

• la pertinence de la solution par rapport aux critères d’économie verte ;
• le modèle économique, la viabilité et potentiel de rentabilité ;
• la cohérence de la solution proposée par rapport aux besoins du marché ; • l’impact économique, social et/ou environnemental ;
• l’expertise de l’équipe et la clarté de la présentation.

À noter que les 10 Start-ups retenues pour participer à la Cohorte YouthConnekt : Entrepreneurs d’Impact proviennent de cohortes accompagnées par Okoumé Capital et la SING et se présentent comme suit :

● Agrivert : agriculture et aviculture ;
● Cabalou : location immobilière ;
● PharmaGabon : pharmaceutique ;
● CaPay : fintech ;
● Yoboresto : service de livraison ;
● Brendi Baby Food : alimentation infantile ;
● Kanopee : apiculture ;
● Gstore Music : distribution numérique ;
● African Trotteur : tourisme ;
● Recyclage&Collecte : recyclage des déchets et valorisation énergétique.

Un montant initial de 110 000 000 (Cent dix millions) de FCFA, sera réparti équitablement entre les porteurs de projets, qui percevront un premier apport de 50%. La deuxième tranche du financement leur sera octroyée au cours de l’accompagnement, selon les indicateurs de suivi des décaissements.

À PROPOS DE LA SOCIÉTÉ D’INCUBATION DU NUMÉRIQUE DU GABON (SING)

La SING SA est une société de service en innovation, spécialisée dans le conseil et l’accompagnement de startups, entreprises privées et administrations publiques dans leurs projets de développement et processus de transformation digitale. La SING propose différentes offres de service qui s’articulent autour de l’incubation, du financement, du conseil et du développement informatique. YouthConnekt est un programme d’autonomisation des jeunes lancé en 2012 par le Gouvernement du Rwanda par l’intermédiaire du ministère de la Jeunesse et des technologies en partenariat avec le Programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement. Ce programme implanté avec une « approche de plateforme » vise à fournir une réponse globale aux nombreux défis auxquels les jeunes africains sont confrontés en les connectant avec leurs pairs, avec des leaders et en développant leurs compétences tout en leur donnant accès au financement et à l’entrepreneuriat. Ce programme, actuellement déployé dans toute l’Afrique, s’est officiellement installé au Gabon en 2020, il est mis en œuvre par le PNUD en co-tutelle avec le ministère des Sports, de la Jeunesse, chargé de la vie associative. YouthConnekt Gabon (YCG) se propose de mettre en œuvre un projet catalyseur destiné à la formulation d’une vision pour la jeunesse gabonaise, en coconcevant et en accélérant la création de solutions innovantes locales, afin de réduire le fossé entre les jeunes et les opportunités pour un environnement économique autonome et une transformation socio-économique durable.

OKOUME CAPITAL SIGN A SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP
TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL OF 10 START-UPS

Libreville, February 2, 2023 – The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Okoumé Capital are joining forces to support the development of local SMEs through the signing of a technical and financial partnership aimed at contributing to the establishment an ecosystem conducive to private investment in the green economy and innovation.

This partnership comes in line with the Transformation Acceleration Plan (PAT) adopted by the government aimed at bringing out new engines of growth. Supported by the Ministry of Trade, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, responsible for national entrepreneurship and the social economy and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the initiative aims to support innovative start-up projects. Gabonese ups having a positive impact in their geographical area and meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It is with this in mind that the UNDP, through its YouthConnekt Gabon program, has chosen to turn to actors present in the sector whose mission is to support SMEs to launch the pilot cohort: « Impact Entrepreneurs ». The purpose of the program co-constructed with Okoumé Capital and the Société d’Incubation Numérique du Gabon (SING) contributes to supporting the creation of a greater number of high-impact companies and promoting the local economy. In particular, it will be a question of boosting the inclusion of Start-Ups in the local ecosystem of financial institutions, fintech, business networks and business Angels.

Since January 30, 2023, the winners have started an intensive program of 90 (ninety) days. They benefit from workshops dedicated to budgetary and financial monitoring, account management, fundraising strategies, monitoring receipts and disbursements organized by Okoumé Capital. Coaching, change management and eco-responsibility sessions led by the SING are also reserved for them.

At the start of this project, 30 (thirty) pre-selected start-ups presented their activities to a jury made up of representatives from UNDP, Okoumé Capital and SING. Following the examination of the files, 10 (ten) companies were selected according to:

• the relevance of the solution in relation to green economy criteria;
• the business model, viability and potential for profitability;
• the consistency of the proposed solution with market needs; • the economic, social and/or environmental impact;
• the expertise of the team and the clarity of the presentation.

Note that the 10 Start-ups selected to participate in the YouthConnekt Cohort: Impact Entrepreneurs come from cohorts supported by Okoumé Capital and SING and are as follows:

● Agrivert: agriculture and poultry farming;
● Cabalou: property rental;
● PharmaGabon: pharmaceutical;
● CaPay: fintech;
● Yoboresto: delivery service;
● Brendi Baby Food: infant food;
● Kanopee: beekeeping;
● Gstore Music: digital distribution;
● African Trotter: tourism;
● Recycling&Collecting: waste recycling and energy recovery.

An initial amount of 110,000,000 (one hundred and ten million) FCFA will be distributed equitably among the project leaders, who will receive an initial contribution of 50%. The second tranche of funding will be granted to them during the support, according to the disbursement monitoring indicators.
